Hyderabad Darbar

Absolutely outstanding food and service from Hyderabad Darbar! The biryani was rich, aromatic, and perfectly cooked, and the chicken dish was full of authentic Hyderabadi flavour. Every bite tasted fresh and made with care. The presentation and portions were excellent, making it perfect for a special occasion.

I ordered biryani for 4 people for £36 and clearly mentioned in the comments that it should be less spicy and less masala. But the restaurant just sent masala without proper rice.

This isn’t the first time—last time I ordered through Deliveroo, they did the same thing. They offered a refund, but I told them I didn’t want money back, just wanted to give feedback.

Now I ordered through Just Eat, and they repeated the same mistake. It was for a family friends’ party, but they completely ruined it. The food was just masala, no proper rice, and people got sick with diarrhea after eating it. We had to throw it all away.

Very disappointed. This is not acceptable.

One of the best biryani I have had in London!
Visited with family and we really enjoyed the mini sizzler and lamb biryani. Food was delicious and fresh. Staff was kind enough to give us some plain rice since the biryani was a bit too spicy for my kids.

Visited with my family after hearing about their biryani and it did not disappoint. We were served by Sahasra, who was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable, even going as far as moving us to a much more comfortable and secluded table so we could enjoy the food and ambience more. We ordered their chicken 65, chicken chilli and Manchurian and it was very very delicious and spicy. All the food was very flavourful. Definitely would visit again :)

We are HMC approved. This means our entire menu and supply-chain is certified Halal according to HMC standards. No traces of pork or alcohol in the store.

Edit : Never again! Avoid at all cost. Absolutely shocked by the service tonight. The 2 hijabi ladies didn't even offer any costumers service, were very slow and messed up our order trying to charge us for chips which they didn't bring.

an amazing place to get some lamb chops and grilled chicken. The chicken was grilled properly and the lamb chops were juice and seasoned well. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and gave good service. Definitely an underrated place that deserves more stars and customers as the prices and quality are amazing. Strongly recommend for their food and hospitality.

I ordered a naan for pick-up honestly, it was a terrible experience. When I got my order, the naan was completely burnt. On top of that, the lady at the counter had a very rude attitude — no apology, nothing. Lady is so rude to every other customer. Definitely not coming back here.

The restaurant has a unique blend of Pakistani and Indian cuisine, and it's always bustling with people, even late into the night. Although we had to wait a bit longer than expected for our food, it was worth it. The grilled chicken was particularly delicious and tasted fresh and well-cooked. In my opinion, it's even better than some of the bigger chain restaurants nearby that claim to specialize in doner kebabs.

Best food and very attentive service. Can't recommend enough this place. Me and my whole family keep coming back to this place. The prices are far better than anywhere else.

I have placed lamb haleem order in uber eats by paying 11£ and you know  the haleem what they serve me is like lentil soup which doesn’t even have lamb in it even im searching in it

Last weekend my wife and I were looking for a new breakfast spot and after a bit of searching she found @querkycafe
Which happens to be Halal so we decided to give them a go. They have 3 locations so we decided to visit the closest one to us in Forest Gate. 

When we got there I was a little surprised to find such a small cafe.. However they told me to walk down the side which lead us to a lovley secret indoor garden dining area. 

The menu has the Classic English breakfast as well a low carb Keto Breakfast option as well and there's also some brunch options like chicken N waffles. 

We went for a Big Breakfast which was actually enough for the 2 of us, all fresh and well made in particular the hash brown. You can also swap out items, we swapped the turkey rashers for grilled Halloumi.

Been a while since I had chicken N waffles and I enjoyed this dish. I was expecting something premade but the waffle and chicken tasted fresh and homemade. 

Ordering and payment is done via your phone and the system worked well. The staff were genuinely friendly and service was good. 

There's no fruit juices on the menu and no eggs Royale etc style dishes but, they have smoothies and other options. 

I'll definitely be back again. All food halal. No alcohol. I paid for my meal and was not invited.

Querky Cafe

Went here with my husband and 2 kids, they have quite alot of food options and kids menu also. The kids pancake portions is very good, they have two pretty good sized pancakes. The service was great, they gave colouring for the little ones, the cafe looks small from the entrance but they have more seating at the back through a side entrance. Food quality was good and average prices, the only reason why I gave 4* is because my husband asked for a recommendation for a cold drink that the waitress said is very nice, but to be honest it wasn’t, also I had an issue with the taste of one of the items on my meal, but they were very accommodating and changed it for me. Overall I would recommend this cafe.

We ordered two Indian Breakfasts. One veg and the other non veg. Also a full English breakfast.  The chili paneer in the veg breakfast and butter chicken in the non veg breakfast were both very tasty.

The drinks we ordered (both hot and cold) were of high quality.

The food was served within the time range given and all the staff members were friendly, helpful and efficient.

Definitely recommend for both small and big groups.

Came here on a Saturday morning and was spoilt for choices with the breakfast options nearby.

I have another Querky Cafe next to me as well and too eager in checking it out.

I got a big breakfast and an almond croissant with 2 different types of coffees.

I must admit, I was impressed with the quality and service. The staff are very friendly and very welcoming. They got some good staff here.

They offered the garden seating which we weren’t aware of and it’s an amazing space!

Will be definitely coming back here again.

Waited 90 minutes for my food for it to be the most bland cold food ever. The bacon tasted like plastic the toast was just a slice of bread thrown into the bottom of the box. The sausage was completely mushy inside and There was a hair on top of my hash brown. I’ve never made a negative review on any store so this store has earned thr privilege after ordering out thousands of times to be the worst of the worst

I recently visited this café, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots. The atmosphere is so welcoming and cozy, perfect for relaxing with a coffee or catching up with a friend. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel at home the moment you walk in.

The food is fresh and full of flavor, with plenty of thoughtful options on the menu. I especially loved how everything felt homemade and made with care.

It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment – a real gem in the area. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re nearby! 🌿☕🍰

Food: After much deliberation (there’s a lot on the menu!) we decided to order the Tower Burger and Blue Cheese Beef Melt. Both burgers, to our dismay, were cooked too much and were quite dry. The Lamb Chops were good and so was the Mac n Cheese. In term of Cheesy Chips, we prefer cheese sauce rather than sprinkled cheddar melted in the oven/microwave. The Mocktails were our favourite, the Pina Colada was especially tasty.
Service: service was good but a bit slow.

Elvet Steakhouse London

This place used to look good and now after the refurb it looks great. The staff were very attentive and the food was amazing.

Great choice for special dates, business dinners and occasions were you want to make an impression and just have great experience.

A very good spot for steak!

My first time at Elvet, on a very special occasion. The staff were welcoming, friendly and informative.

🥩We ordered a platter of 3 steak cuts and they were all better than the last! Perfectly cooked and seasoned.

🍤The prawn tempura starters were tasty while leaving room for the steak. But lacking in presentation.

🍹Mocktails were absolutely delicious and ice cold.

🍨Desserts could be more elevated too. The tiramisu served in a flowerpot was theatrical but not that amazing.

A nice interior but the seating style and table could be a little more elevated.

I will be visiting again for the steak. The other menu items could be more tasty and better presented.

I went with my husband and our two sons. They are extremely good. The meat was very delicious, and the drinks were great. We especially appreciated Toni’s attention to our youngest son and to us. I highly recommend it. We will definitely come again. Love.

Came here back after the new refurb. We didn’t think anything was wrong with internal decoration before. Happy to say we came here for my Dads birthday and food was amazing. We ordered mocktails, a burger and a house special steak. We will be definitely coming back!

Elvet Steakhouse London is on another level everything from start to finish was perfect! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm welcome and the place instantly feels special. The atmosphere is classy but still comfortable, with beautiful lighting and a lively vibe that makes you want to stay for hours.

The food? Absolutely incredible. The steak was cooked exactly how I wanted juicy, tender, and full of flavour. The sides were fresh and perfectly seasoned, and every bite felt like it was made with real care. The presentation was also on point every plate looked like something from a high-end magazine.

The drinks deserve their own shoutout. I had one of the best mocktails I’ve ever tasted full of flavour, refreshing, and presented so beautifully it was almost too pretty to drink (almost!). It paired perfectly with the meal and made the whole experience even better.

Service was outstanding attentive without being pushy, and they made sure everything was just right for us. You can tell the staff take pride in making customers happy.

Overall, Elvet Steakhouse isn’t just a place to eat it’s an experience. Perfect for a special night out, a celebration, or just treating yourself to something amazing. I’ll 100% be coming back!

Masala Chai Nashta x Curry In A Box

Travelled quite a bit after seeing this on Instagram few days ago, on the website and google it said that it opens at 9.15, when we got there it was closed, we waited for 5 minutes and it was still closed, we tried calling the number on google and no one was answering, we waited a little longer and was about to give up and walked away, after looking back a few minutes later they opened at 9.30, if they’re late they should’ve put a sign on the shop. The food was nice and very hot (temperature) when it arrived. Food took roughly 15 minutes to arrive after we ordered, we started eating and after few minutes realised we didn’t get the keema side that we ordered, they had forgotten about it, when it arrived we was very disappointed, taste wise it was nice, but they charged us £4 for a very tiny bowl, it was not worth that price considering that the whole breakfast meal cost £10.95 which included the karak coffee too. The coffee was nice but it left a little aftertaste in the month and tongue after each sip. The cafe is a good size with lots of seating area and staff gave good service.

Lovely staff - I've never waited long for food but go in weekdays, 10 minutes for this? Imo quick. Such tasty fresh food, very fair value for what you receive. Most reliable in the area

I run a seniors club @ south woodford islamic  center.
I ordered masalla egg with roti and masalla  tea.our seniors  really enjoyed the breakfast. Will be ordering  again as a monthly.

The meal was enjoyable, particularly the paratha and omelette, and the chai was delicious. The only issue I had was that the menu is not clearly labelled. For example, we wanted masala potatoes with our desi nashta but were told that this was only available on the weekend.

I thought the food was amazing, the guy  was happy to help me with selecting food. I was only working in the area, and stopped by chance, after reading online reviews. I was not disappointed. Not much choice but the food was delicious. At a great value. It was that good, I went back  a second time. Definitely worth a visit..

Food: The Royal Victoria Pie was incredible; the mushroom sauce was creamy and the chicken pieces were tender. The Hakka Pie was not as good as the lamb was slightly flavourless. The sides were delicious, especially the Mediterranean Vegetables, but the Mash was a tiny bit dry.
