I've found that Food in shisha lounges tends to be quite average, as the focus is usually on Mocktails and shisha. However, this is NOT the case for @vyb_dalston a new restaurant and shisha lounge 📍 located in Dalston. Swipe for more pics and menu

Even though I live in Ilford, it still took me an hour to get here by car! I arrived to a busy shisha lounge with a good vibe. The restaurant is currently in a soft launch phase and has a limited menu

However, I was pleasantly suprised with the food. I got a mix grill, lamb chops (accidentally ordered this), VYB Burger and Korean wings, chilli con carne chips and 1 Mocktails and milkshake. You don't offen see French trimed thick juicy lamb chops cooked to medium, this level of quality was only seen in high end restaurants a few years ago, but great to see here done right. The flavours of all the grilled meats where we'll balanced and flavoured.

The burger had a good meaty taste, it was flamed grilled, but packed with loads of fresh ingredients and well made sauces. The chili con carne chips were a favourite, really morish and tasty!

I got a VYB Mocktail, which was too sweet and syrupy for me. The shake was good

All.in all, good food, well presented and a nice place to chill if you like shisha. There is a restaurant area, separated from the shisha area, but doesn't have a great vibe. I don't smoke shisha. Meal was on the house. Thoughts and words my own.

Requested for the lamb fillet with mash. He came back and said there wasn’t any mash left so i chose fries as another alternative then the lamb came out, i thought i was going to choke due to it being chewy and overcooked. I spat it out into the piece of tissue. I told one of the servers about the issue and he said they can’t do anything about it just because i decided to leave the food and sit back to do the shisha and after said something about the food. which confused me because what difference does it make for the issue to be resolved. My friend asked for the Vyb special mocktail. The server also came back and said they don’t know how to make the drink which is ridiculous. This place is a hit or miss!

The best lounge in the area! The staff are amazing and always so attentive. The shisha is consistently top tier, and the atmosphere is incredibly cosy and comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great spot to relax. Oh and the Karak chai is the best

On Christmas Day, when almost everything was closed, I stopped by while I was out doing deliveries and asked if I could please use the restroom. Two young women working there were incredibly kind not only did they allow me to use it without hesitation, but they also offered me free drinks. That simple act of generosity truly meant a lot to me. You don’t come across kindness like that very often especially on a holiday. I’m really sorry I didn’t get their names but I hope they know how much their kindness was appreciated.

I’ve been here twice, love the atmosphere and the shisha is really good. The staff are SO attentive and polite which is very rare to find nowadays. Definitely planning to come here even more, 10/10 service and would definitely recommend!!

Went here for the first time & I must say the VYB was definitely there! The service was on point the food & shisha was great, cant go wrong! They even specify what each shisha flavour contains (which I have not seen in other shisha spots). We had 3 starters, 3 mains, 3 drinks & a dessert for my girls birthday! The staff are so observant & attentive & you don’t have to keep calling them over. They were so friendly & made sure our needs were met. This might just be my new spot for real! Price range was very decent. Definitely recommend going there & trying their food & shisha & just being there for the VYB! Ohh & parking right outside after 7pm.

It was a cold day today so I decided to pop in to CHAIWALA in Kingsland road Dalston . I was served by a lovely guy called
ShahidUl . He was friendly professional respectful and genuine . Definitely pop in to say hi and have a chai . I ordered hash brown & karak chai .The venue is clean & smells nice & fresh. Good vibe .

First time trying Chai and do not regret it one bit! It was really flavourful and customer service was top notch! gave the chance to try the flavours before making my choice. I also had the Aloo Paratha and it was amazing! Definitely recommend this place

I had a wonderful experience at Chaiiwala Dalston! The food was delicious as always — fresh, flavourful, and perfectly served. What really stood out, though, was the amazing customer service. Naima was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

Just had a fantastic meal at this place. The flavors were incredible, and the whole experience was great. Highly recommend!

We’ve been here a few times already and it’s always a great experience. No matter what we order, the tea is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Best bubble tea shop in the area. Amazing premium customer service. Especially from the cashier named ADILA. I would reccomend this to everyone if their in the area esp as they do loyalty cards and special offers like buy 1 get one often👀👀👀

This place is undoubtedly the best bubble tea shop in London. I ordered the taro milk tea with tapioca topping, and it tasted amazing. It cost just £4.89, which is great value. And the staff are very friendly.

The drink size is also perfect. It might be smaller compared to regular sizes at other places, but the amount is just right. I’m a huge fan of bubble tea, but when the portion is too large, I often start to feel a bit queasy towards the end. But I can’t usually choose a small size, so it’s the only drawback when I have bubble tea.

This shop solved my worries. I'll definitely be a regular.

Finally got the chance to review this beautiful place. 😍 I'm a regular here. I have tried all their fruit tea flavours, toppings and their sparkling/fizz range. Every single fruit tea I've ordered has tasted so good! 🤤🤤🤤 I'm not a huge fan of milk teas but love their vanilla and coconut milk tea. Family have tried all the other milk tea flavours and they love it. 👌🏽 Our favourite is the Blue Coral Fruit Tea. 11/10 for customer service, all staff are very welcoming and friendly. 😊 I've added as many pics/vids as I could dig out from my camera roll but they don't do justice. If you're reading this and haven't tried their teas yet... don't walk, run to this place! 😂

Just a suggestion, wish you guys had Kiwi and Cherry Fruit Tea. 😢 Bring in these 2 flavours and I won't need to go elsewhere. 😁

Babsang

Great tasting kfc, crispy dumplings were crunchy and good. Had the steak bab (chicken option over egg fried rice) which came on a sizzling hot plate, making the rice on the bottom crunchy and delicious. Service was a bit slow, but there were only two people working front of house, so no issues, and we weren’t in a rush. Also the amount of delivery orders they were pushing out may have had an impact on our service.
Will come here again next time I’m out east, lots of other menu options that I’d like to try..

Lovely atmosphere, especially on a summer evening. The interior is nice and the staff were very welcoming, which made for a pleasant experience overall.

That said, it didn’t quite feel like an authentic Korean restaurant. The food wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t great. The kimchi pancake, Korean fried chicken, and chicken katsu were all quite oily and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil, which was a bit disappointing.

My main, the beef with black beans, was actually quite nice, but unfortunately not memorable.

I really wanted to like this place, but overall it was pretty disappointing. The service was just okay since we had to constantly flag staff down instead of them checking in.

Food-wise, the only dish worth recommending is the fried chicken, which was solid. Everything else fell short. The beef bulgogi was cut way too thick, the japchae portion was tiny, and the tteokbokki serving was just as small with an overcooked, gray egg on top. The BBQ did not feel authentic at all, and basics that should have been included came with extra charges. They did not even provide something as simple as an onion to season the grill. Also it's so dark that it's hard to see if the food is even cooked!

The last gripe is the floors are insanely slippery.
For the price, it is just not worth it. If you go, stick to the fried chicken, but I would not recommend much else.

Ordered takeaway for my pregnant wife and I on Uber Eats and the food arrived an hour late (on top of the hour estimated delivery) and we were very disappointed when it did. The seafood pancake was greasy, stodgy and we couldn't identify any seafood other than tiny bits of squid, the Korean beef stew was more egg stew with a token amount of beef bulked out with button mushrooms/random veg. The Korean chicken tasted okay but was soggy, surprising given the food didn't travel long and most of the delay was at the restaurant. Seems like they decided to get the food out just before the time limit where we'd be eligible for a full refund. We were starving so took the offer of a £7 discount but even factoring that the food was still overpriced. After the sub-par food, poor communication and making a pregnant woman upset with hunger it's probably unsurprisingly we won't be trying them again.

We like it here! Nice little local spot, lunch menu especially great value. Fried chicken is good and pretty authentic. Starters are really good! Highly recommend

Mangal Turkish Pizza

Excellent dining experience where I was treated exceptionally well. I asked for a reccomendation of the best vegetarian food and I certainly received it. After finishing, I was gifted a complimentary tea. Definitely reccomend this place if you're in the area

What a joke of a response to my friend’s review.

We are very clear about where we ate and can provide the receipt if needed. The restaurant is on Stoke Newington Road, opposite Samarkand and a few shops away from Istanbul Restaurant. Please do not suggest we are confused or talking about the wrong place.

We know exactly what we were charged and who we spoke to. The waiter gave his name as Ali (whether that is his real name cannot be verified). We were charged £9 for small pots of chilli sauce, no complimentary tea, and 5p for 1glass of tap water, which is unheard of in Turkish cuisine. Ali the waiter also confidently told us that all Turkish restaurants will start charging for sauce next year, which only added to the disbelief. 😂

The issue is not just the charges but the attitude towards paying customers, as if we were being lectured on Turkish food or dining. This was disappointing and unnecessary.

We are regular customers at Istanbul Restaurant, even before the current owners, and decided to try your restaurant for the first time. Sadly, due to this experience, it will also be the last time.

I just finished eating a Turkish pizza and a lamb kebab that were out of this world, two delicacies at a price you can only dream of in London.
I was expecting something good because it had been recommended to me, but what I ate exceeded all expectations. The ingredients were very good, and there can only be two reasons for this: good quality raw materials and skilled hands that know what they are doing.
Congratulations, it's worth crossing London to eat here. Every time I come back to this city, you will be a regular stop.

Aaaaw, best Turkish restaurant East of London. Honestly, their chicken soup is one of the best we ever had! Also lentil soup is delicious and served with fresh warm bread. The lamahcun was fantastic, so was the delicious cold beer! Highly recommended 👌

Disappointed with the service. Charged £3 for additional chilli sauce, ended up paying  £9 extra for 3 little pots of chilli sauce!  they even charged 5p for tap water. Asked for Turkish tea after the meal (which most Turkish places offer for free) and they wanted to charge for that too..!! Staff had an attitude. Wouldn’t recommend.

Loved it here. Good price for a lot of food. Attentive waiters that cleared the table smoothly, and gave us everything we needed. I had the falafel and halloumi plate and it was yummy, but my favourite thing was the onion plate. My boyfriend had lamb chops and they looked delicious. Would recommend for a date or a lunch if you want a treat!

I had the delicious lentil soup and Turkish tea . The staff Mustafa was very helpful and happy to help . Great vibes , clean & modern !! Must visit !! Highly recommended

Delicious food and good service. We ordered the lentil soup, the lamb shish, and an ayran. The lamb shish was a big standout!! So tender and flavorful. The server was very friendly and kept bringing us free stuff, like 2 different kinds of bread to eat with the soup, and several varieties of pickles and a fresh salad too

Service was great and I had some soft serve 🍦 to cook me down while I waited for my order. They did ask if I had any allergies when I was ordering. Tasty. Calm quiet atmosphere and quintessential Nandos decor which I love.

On a busy Friday service they fitted us in with a smile and super service. Good value and really tasty.

One of my best experiences from Nando’s very attentive staff , Musa was very welcoming and was always assuring if we were ok. The food was amazing  and the service from both Musa and Costa was great ! Felt so welcomed thank you guys will come back

So, not really the type to leave a review for Nando’s because ‘its the same’ wherever you go which actually speaks for the consistency in the quality of the food.

Before I went, I checked the reviews on Google and saw some weren’t too good and that did make me slightly apprehensive to eat here but we took a chance and decided to eat here.

I am glad I did come here. The service was the same great service I become used to at Nando’s. The staff were polite, welcoming and accommodating. They were attentive and the service was quick. The restaurant was slightly busy, it was a Friday around 6pm.

The quality of the food was very good and the portions were good, the same as other Nando’s I have visited.

If you are a fan of Nando’s, this is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

01/08/25 - Ordered a large mixed doner and chips on super kebab app. The mixed doner came in a small container (1st pic) same size as the salad (2nd pic) food is nice but it doesn’t represent value for money.

Went in for a quick bite and was really impressed. The doner was fresh and flavorful, not greasy, and the portion was generous. The place is simple but clean, and the staff were friendly and the food arrived quickly.

This is prob the best kebab shop in UK!!!.. Lads are always smiling and courteous, honest recommendations!

They have few seating inside, can take the family and enjoy a good meal. But they mainly concentrate on takeaway. But saying that they would always host you. So that's a big +

Chef special is a generous size. And the wraps are good too.

I have never been anywhere with such friendly staff!! As soon as we came to the counter Mafuja greeted us with the biggest smile and was so helpful and nice. She was very quick in bringing our orders and checking everything was alright! A smile is rare from staff in London and its goes a long way. Mafuja you made our day 10/10 Service! Also, we absolutely love that they supply gloves so you can eat your wings with your hands and avoid the lingering smell, fantastic!

Omran sorted me out, excellent service and top guy. Would 100% come back with friends and/or family. The eating environment is suitable for kids, adults and business

I’ve been to Wingstop many times, I like what I like so I always order the same thing every time. The wings were crispy, flavorful, and came in a nice variety of sauces. BBQ sauce is my favourite sauce so obviously it would be my favourite sauce at Wingstop aswell.

We ordered wingstop for a family dinner so we ordered the Hickory smoked bbq for both the chicken bites and tenders. We also ordered the Sweet potato fries wingstop style, Normal fries, and the Spicy Korean Q.

The portions are decent but they could definitely put in a bit more for the price. In my honest opinion Wingstop is really just overpriced chicken doused in a lot of sauce. Sometimes the sauce is too much but it still tastes good, which is why I haven’t stop coming back.

Service was friendly and the food takes a bit of time, and I’m not just talking about the family size food we ordered I’m talking about on a general basis when we just order 2 portions of food. The shop is spacious and clean, great for dining in or takeout.

If you haven’t tried Wingstop, I wouldn’t say it’s a must try. But I’m not going to say it’s bad either because the truth is it’s not. I just don’t think it is worth it.

The wings are all drenched in a variety of sauces which are generally disgusting. The tenders (dry) are better but no better than KFC which is cheaper. It also takes them a long time to prepare your order. Staff super friendly though.

Got a walk in table for 2 Friday night, loved how quick the service was, the quality of the food and the atmosphere. I have no issue with tables being close together when there’s such a good loud atmosphere as you can’t hear other people’s conversations. BYOB is fantastic too, a bottle of white goes so well with all of the food here.

Would recommend: Adana kebab, Sarma and humus. The free bread is a nice touch too.

Definitely coming back in the future.

Iv been eating here on and of 40 years, the decor has changed but not the food, the kebabs are great here. But the addana kefde is the best in England, all the kebabs are good here and good portions and very reasonable price up, but the addana kefde is exceptional. This time I had a mix. Aubergine salad was excellent. Turkish salad was great, I think you know what I'm saying if you want kebabs this is the place.

Yum yum, you can't go wrong with a meal from here. Probably my favourite Turkish restaurant in London, nothing much has changed in over 15 years (and that's a good thing!)

The kebab itself was delicious; however, compared to the area, the starters and meze were slightly below average. The price is affordable, and the quality of the kebabs is good.

Outstanding value and amazing quality at this Ockabasi. Probably, the best Turkish restaurant we tried outside Turkey (or even including Turkey).

They also allow BYOB which is a plus.

Adana and Sis Kebabs are top notch. Mix Meze as a starter should be mandatory.

The Midyeci Bar & Restaurant

Had lunch at The Midyeci Bar today and honestly it was one of those meals that hits the spot without you even planning for it. I was just looking for something filling and ended up getting the shish kebab with a portion of rice and salad. Pretty standard order, but they actually did it really well.

The kebab came out super fresh, tender, and had that proper charred taste without being dry. You know when the meat is cooked just right and you don’t have to fight with it? Yeah, it was like that. The rice was fluffy and had that nice buttery vibe without being greasy, which I really appreciated. And the salad was simple but fresh — crunchy veggies, nothing soggy or sad-looking, which I feel like happens too often at some places.

The overall vibe of the place was chill and very “Turkish street food but indoors,” if that makes sense. Nothing pretentious. The staff were relaxed but still helpful, not overdoing it with check-ins. It’s the kind of spot where you can sit down for a proper meal but also just pop in quick without it feeling weird.

Had lunch with a friend that also loved the stuffed mussels. We always order 1kg to share. They also have other seafood dishes which I have never tried before as that’s how good the stuffed mussels taste that I only come here for these.

A really great little seafood restaurant. Great food, delicious fish dishes, but also surprisingly good value. Quite refined on decor and atmosphere, but also quite a neighbourhood feel.

This place specializes in Mediterranean cuisine — refined but not flashy. Every dish is super substantial, made with quality ingredients. After eating, I felt incredibly healthy, like even my skin was glowing!

Plus, they offer a lunch set: a main dish + two kinds of salad as a meal deal, all for just a little over a tenner — feels like a great deal!

Great brunch spot in Dalston — perfect for work, chill, and a surprisingly good peach salad!

Discovered this Cafe Route location in Dalston Square and it quickly became one of my go-to spots for a relaxed brunch or a casual work session. The space is bright and calm, with plenty of tables (some with sockets!) so you’ll often see people working or studying here — great atmosphere for it.

I tried the peach salad for the first time and it was honestly amazing! Super refreshing, with a lovely balance of sweet and tangy, paired with cheese and toasted nuts. It gave off a light Mediterranean vibe and was the perfect summer pick.

Really like the vibeh here, it feels so chill and perfect for a casual hangout with friends. I’d recommend the Parmesan Chicken and the Baked Salmon. The salmon has a sweet chili flavor with great seasoning, and the fish tastes really fresh. The grilled chicken skewers are super tender, juicy, and flavorful.

Absolutely loved this spot! 💛 Perfect for a hot summer day in London — the menu is super refreshing and full of flavour. I tried the Chicken Skewer with Peach (£14) and was pleasantly surprised — the peach starter was actually fresh peach, not a gimmick! Juicy, tangy and paired perfectly with the chicken. Super satisfying.

The Meatball Skewer with Roasted Sweet Potato (£14) was also great — the meatballs were decent, but the roasted sweet potato totally stole the show. Soft, cool and naturally sweet — not your usual fries. I ended up stealing the last few bites from my friend 😆

After we get off at Dalston Station, we immediately spot this Mediterranean-themed café. Every item on the menu looks top-notch, and I particularly recommend the Mediterranean platter. This dish has filo pie, hallumi and spiced olives so that you get to experience the distinct characteristics of Mediterranean cuisine. There is also a stunning honey-cream cheese served separately, which can be used to spread on sourdough bread to make it a sweet meal.

The portion sizes are very generous as well.

The most authentic Turkish restaurant in London. The food was so tasty and the portions were huge. Sim was so lovely, she made us feel welcome and at home. We want to come back and try even more from the menu. I definitely recommend it

We’ve been going to Istanbul Restaurant for 9 years now, and we are always happy with the food and the service. The staff are wonderful, the atmosphere is warm, and the place is very children-friendly, which we really appreciate.

They made my birthday extra special this year when my son told the waiter it was my birthday, they brought out a dessert with a candle and sang for me. It honestly made me extremely happy.

Istanbul Restaurant in Dalston is an absolute gem. Went to this place as they had a £10.95 lunch offer, and it didn't disappoint. I had the lamb shish and it was very agreeable even though the pieces of meat were too small for my liking. The Borek and pastry were equally tasty so overall good value for money.

This place is incredible. Came in mid-gig for a quick dinner and the food was sooo tasty. Really good value. Plus it was my friend’s birthday and they made such a fuss. Already looking forward to coming back

Absolutely delicious and cheap food, I'm glad I popped in! I had the broth with wontons and tofu which was so tasty! Sometimes there's more seating at the back when it looks like it's full, so it's worth going back to see. I can't wait to come back!

ordered iced kopi susu, iced matcha latte, martabak and batagor.

iced kopi susu 8/10 - people who like a strong coffee taste with some sweetness at the end will like this drink!

iced matcha latte 8/10 - looks light so i was a bit wary but it has a strong matcha flavour and very smooth, not bitty or grainy at all.

martabak (bottom right) - my favourite dish, so delicious and feels like a comfort food. the sauce also pairs well, would definitely recommend!

batagor (bottom left) - the different textures were super fun to eat. the sauces on top were delicious and the wontons were perfectly crispy.

service was super fast, the workers here are so sweet and helpful (they let us borrow their stapler for a ripped bag😭).

location of the cafe is lovely, on a quiet road. only thing that may be not positive is that the seating area is quite small so might be difficult to sit down and eat properly but that’s out of their control.

will definitely be back one day!!

The place is very cozy although it’s small. I ordered iced matcha coffee latte, ayam cabe ijo, and tahu isi. The latte and tahu isi were good. The chicken was a bit bland, unfortunately, and the sambal would be perfect if it’s more spicy. No complaint about the service.

hands down the best iced coffee i’ve had in london. i’ve been looking for a coffee shop that will blow me away and it was right by my corner all this time. i was recommended by the barista to get the iced kopi susu which has palm sugar in it- i love my coffee sweet but dissolving sugar is such an issue when iced. the sweetness was perfect for me and i can’t wait to have it again as well as try the other cool things they have on their menu. the staff were incredibly sweet and super helpful, haven’t seen hospitality like that in so long.

Ordered via uber eats, food arrived within the hour, everything was stone cold.

But what’s totally unacceptable is finding lots of flies inside the green salad. This is absolutely disgusting, opened the box and immediately saw something jumping around, then after looking closer we spotted more, including dead ones. This is making me question the food hygiene across the whole restaurant. This put us off eating the order all together and made us feel quite sick and uneasy.

To top things off I checked the burger and it was burnt all along the bottom. Second order with this store and the second time with problems. Will never order here again

Honest Burgers offers some of the best burgers I’ve had, with juicy patties and fresh ingredients.
The rosemary chips are a standout and full of flavour.
Service was friendly and quick, even when it was busy.
A bit pricey, but definitely worth it for the quality.

One of the most disgusting meals I’ve ever had. Burger was burnt to a crisp and well done despite ordering medium. The chicken tenders are the worst food I’ve ever eaten, I took one bite and spat it out. Covered in some sort of disgusting paprika powder that is so strong it’s impossible to eat and they were also way over cooked and like a shoe. To top it all off there was a hair in my chips. Honest burgers used to be good but it’s gone downhill massively, will never be going back and hopefully it will be gone soon. Vile.

The food that arrived looks nothing like the picture the chicken strips had no coating at all and the chips somehow look dehydrated and there’s something blue on the chips I’m guessing plastic I wish I read these reviews before I ordered

I used to order these burgers regularly on uber but as soon as they went full halal recently then I stopped. I don’t support ritualistic slaughter and one cannot impose halal on everyone else! People should have the option to choose the source of their produce and I choose humane slaughter.

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. Fried halal chicken burgers and wings do not share fryers with any non-halal items. Grilled halal chicken breast burgers are cooked on a reserved area of the grill separated by a grill divider. We do not offer halal beef at any of our restaurants.

Fantastic place for Turkish tea and baklava. They had a variety of baklava to choose from. The best one for me was the cold baklava, never had it before and the taste was absolutely amazing.

I liked the decor and the ambiance. I would definitely recommend and I'm sure I will be back again soon. This is now are new dessert place after have super kebab!

This was the best baklava I’ve ever had in London! The host was super accommodating, willing to move the tables for us (we were a big group) and he was super speedy! 100% recommend!

Went for a kebab and wanted to have dessert with the lads found this gem when walking around. We had Turkish tea and baklawa. The milk baklawa was very nice I've never had it before.

I visited this place twice. On my first visit, I bought half a kilogram of baklava for 15 quids, which proved to be good value for money. Even after several days in the refrigerator, its taste remained good.

On my second visit, I stopped in for a quick bite. I ordered a portion of kadayif and a cup of chamomile tea. I noticed they offer a wide variety of teas, each with an artisan touch. The chamomile tea, in particular, was delightful.

While sitting there, I even saw them preparing the baklava, which made me appreciate that all their pastries are homemade and fresh.

I had a disappointing experience at this dessert shop. Despite being marketed as pistachio-based sweets, the products are actually made by mixing green peas with pistachios—an obvious attempt to cut costs while misleading customers. The price is unreasonably high, reaching up to £40, which is double what you would typically pay at some of the best-known and genuinely high-quality shops, where prices rarely exceed £20.

Adding to the frustration, the shop also charges an additional service fee, which is not clearly disclosed upfront. Overall, the quality does not justify the price, and the deceptive ingredient substitution is unacceptable. I would not recommend visiting this place.
