Amazing Turkish Food and Even Better Service!

We had such a great experience here! The food was full of authentic Turkish flavor — fresh bread straight from the wood oven, tender meats, and the most delicious meze. You can really taste the difference when everything’s cooked in a wood oven.

But what made the visit even better was Ibrahim. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and really took care of us from start to finish. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does — he made great recommendations, and served us really well!

It’s rare to find such warm service and amazing food in one place. Big thanks to Ibrahim for making our meal so special — we’ll definitely be back!

Wood Oven
We ordered the Adana kebab and chicken grill, and both were tasty and cooked well. We also had the crispy calamari platter – the calamari was fine and cooked just right. The kebab was especially flavorful and satisfying.

We did find two hairs in the food, which was a bit off-putting, but the taste overall was still good. The Shake Bueno we ordered was also delicious and a nice way to end the meal.

Overall, good flavors and enjoyable dishes, but hygiene could be improved.

First time visiting, and the food was excellent. They even brought out complimentary dishes, which felt very polite and welcoming.

However, I do have one comment about the payment process. When I wanted to pay, they told me they only accept cash which wasn’t mentioned earlier. When I explained I didn’t have cash, they suggested I use the cash dispenser they have. I then said I didn’t have my card on me, and only then they offered the card machine but told me I’d need to go to the front desk. This was unnecessary hassle, especially since they already had a card machine available. It would have been much smoother if they were upfront about payment methods from the start, or simply brought the machine to the table.

Overall, great food and hospitality, but the payment process could definitely be improved.

This was my first time eating in this restaurant and I would definitely recommend this place. The service is very good and staff are polite. The quality of the food is excellent and very tasty. We had the wood oven special platter which had almost everything usually eat so I am very satisfied.

Visited here for the first time after looking at strong positive reviews online, and honestly, a very good restaurant, decor is warm and inviting. On entering, staff are attentive and polite, with 10/10 customer service. Food was simply superb. Thanks very much everyone for a wonderful evening.

I went to @cristinassteak to try their BBQ Beef Brisket Burger. Such a epic burger. The beef was soo fatty, juicy and tender. With BBQ sauce, I personally don't like BBQ sauce much, but still enjoyed this, but would probably order it again with no BBQ sauce. The beef had a lovely smoked flavour as well.⁣

Also tried the slow roast lamb shank and chicken supreme for mains and starter with mushroom aranchini with beef bites. All lovely dishes.⁣

Finished the evening with the an amazing chocolate brownie and Eton  mess, tho I wasn't to keen on it in a mug.⁣

A great restaurant that everyone should try. There's not many restaurants like this that have halal options in London.⁣

Alcohol served, but most people that dine here are Muslim so you don't see any alcohol around. Halal status is confirmed by owner. As a thank you for previous visits and reviews I've done, my meal was given on the house. But this doesn't change my thoughts. Lovely food.

Went to one of my favourite places (and best discoveries) @cristinassteak in Barking for a quick lunch today.

Their lunch menu has some bangin deals. Got this delicious 24 hour Smoked BBQ beef brisket burger with chips for £9 (plus service) the meat was so soft and tender and packed full of flavour. Absolutely delicious.

On entrance, the table was dressed with festive decor and honey and chilli roasted nuts, perfectly sticky and crunchy. For starters we had the Cristina’s fish cakes which were soft with a crispy coating but they had a very intense fish flavour, which we personally did not enjoy. The pumpkin soup on the other hand was hearty and rich, with a delicious creamy texture and sweetness served with seasoned croutons. 

The mains consisted of rosemary roast turkey and butchers steak served to a medium pink, both of which were very dry even with the gravy and bread sauce. However the vegetables were delicious, the honey roasted parsnips and carrots were full of flavour and glazed to perfection with a slight char. 

To round off  the meal, we had the sticky toffee pudding with a moist sponge cake drizzled with a rich warm toffee sauce and the chocolate soufflé was indulgent with a perfect gooey centre and definitely rounded off the meal well. 

All in all the xmas dinner was underwhelming, but their usual steak, burgers and Sunday Roasts are definitely worth trying out!

Cristina's Steak

Our waitress was a stand up comedian. Chef special roasted beef, roasted potato carrots and gravy, was yummy! lovely christmas meal with work colleagues. Salmon bowl looks healthy, and the chicken popcorn on rice looks nice. the prawns starter looked good, and the cheeseburger spring roll was a meat spring roll, expected cheese pull, strawberry lemonade was lovely too!  brownie tiramasu and sticky toffee pudding looked scrumptious! Asked us for allergies too. Quick service.

As soon as I walked in to the moment I left was sensational! My beautiful friends brought me here to celebrate my birthday as I have just turned 18 and I tried a selection of starters and main courses…. The brisket burger and steak was deeeeliciousssss!! The marrow and butter candle was heaven on a plate! You have to have the hot rolls with it it’s too good to miss.
I had a lovely cheer for my bday and even a lovely song played for me with the most amazing cake…. Tiramisu mixed with choc cake on the bottom 😋

Defo coming back

I first went to Cristina’s in Barking in 2019 and again in 2022. Both times I came away really impressed. I used to tell people that for the price and the flavour, this was the best steak place I’d been to. It was an easy five stars back then.

Parking is still pretty much the same. ASDA is the best option and spending £5 to validate your car reg is worth it because parking around Barking is limited.

I went back in December 2025 after three years away. The interior and the atmosphere are still pleasant, so I was looking forward to the meal.

For starters I had the cheeseburger spring rolls. They were actually very nice and something different that I hadn’t tried before.

The disappointment started with the mains. We ordered one rump and one sirloin, but we were served two rump steaks. We were told it could be fixed, but it would mean waiting around 20 to 30 minutes. We were really hungry, so we decided to keep what was brought out, but it wasn’t ideal. Considering Cristina’s is not somewhere you can visit regularly in this economy, we wanted this visit to feel special. The rump steak was meant to be medium rare but some parts were burnt, which was strange. One of the sauces also made the steak taste too salty, though I’m not sure if it was the sauce or the steak itself.

The lady serving us was lovely and offered a complimentary dessert as an apology. We declined because a small discount on the bill would have made more sense, especially as we really wanted to try the sirloin and it might be a while before we can come back again. Apart from the mix-up, the service overall was very good.

I just left feeling disappointed because this is a place I used to praise so much. I’ve been to expensive high-end steak places, but I always thought Cristina’s beat them on flavour and value. This visit didn’t match my previous experiences.

I’m not sure when I’ll visit again, but if things improve, I’ll update this review.

Another fantastic visit to Christina’s Steak in Barking! The food was absolutely delicious, as always, and the service truly made the experience special.

A special mention goes to Edit and her lovely colleague whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. Both were outstanding, attentive and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit.

We had the cod and chips, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavour, and the Red Hot Chicken Kellogg’s Burger, which was absolutely delicious. Every bite was spot on.

We also thoroughly enjoyed the homemade passionfruit cooler, which was recommended by Edit and she was absolutely right! She made it taste amazing, exactly as recommended and it was the perfect complement to our meal.

Amazing food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back again!

Ordered for takeaway yesterday, I think I need to just get the message and stop ordering from Nando’s overall. Do you think it’s acceptable to serve food in this state? As expected the sunset burger was very dry and just loaded with mayonnaise. Barely any chilli jam and a very dry chicken thigh with no sauce. Highly disappointed and won’t be wasting another penny here.

I recently visited Nando’s Barking, and I have to say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Khan was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout my visit. His warm attitude and great customer service made the meal even more enjoyable.
The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. With staff like Khan and such delicious dishes, Nando’s Barking truly stands out. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to others!

I went to your place last night to have dinner and I was surprised how good the dish looked but the taste left me wanting, it had a burnt taste, the chicken was not crispy, as I told the one I ordered to be crispy not burnt, the puree was ok and the potatoes and corn. I don't think I'll cross the threshold again, I'll have to think about it.

I was greeted by Abu At the door, He Welcome us with so much Energy and love. And made sure we were okay and had everything on the table. He made us feel really comfortable And the service was 10/10 thank you .  Would definitely recommend

We visited Nando’s in Barking and really enjoyed our experience. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The waiter who served us talked about the food with such enthusiasm that we immediately wanted to try it. And once we did, it was so delicious that we finished everything. We will definitely come back again!

We have 385 restaurants, 72 of which serve only Halal chicken and are signposted both in the restaurant and online. A small proportion of chicken sold in our other restaurants may also be Halal.

Nando's

I saw a new burger takeaway @burgertrap_uk open up in Barking and decided to quickly grab a burger while I was doing some shopping at the Asda next door

I went for the trap burger, 2x6oz Beef patties, topped with Double American Cheese, a nice brioche bun wirh their trap sauce coming in at £6.99. 

First impressions looked good, similar to a chicos smash burger, but I don't think the patties were cooked in the smashed method as it took 10min to make. What was lacking was the deep rich beef aroma that i normally smell in a good burger.

How did it tatse? Well I'd rate it a solid 7/10, the texture of the bun was soft and gooey, but there was a definitive lack of meaty flavour, it lacked seasoning and the richness you get from a high quality beef to fat ratio. The flavour of cheese was lost in the overpowered sauce and toppings. The onions lacked sweetness and they weren't carmelised and under cooked and a few too many gherkins made it taste like a McDonald's cheese burger. 

This spot is located a stones throw from the original smash burger by Cristinas, where at lunch time you can dine in and get there far superior double cheese burger with fries fof the tidy sum of £7. So with this option available, I really don't see the point of going here unless they drop the price of the burger, its more a £4.99 burger. 

Overall I'd rate it 6.5/10 when you factor i the price. There's room for improvement and these guys just opened. I paid for this meal, they had no idea of my identity.
